New SOOM starting on - Friday, 6 May
Due to the successful entrants and competitive rounds played during the Winter Order of Merit we have decided to run a Summer Order of Merit or SOOM!
In an attempt to give more playing opportunities to a greater number of members, the Competitions will be played over nine holes. The SOOM is open to all members and categories and can be played either before work, during the day or after work. All events will be played under competitions rules and will count for handicap. The entry will be £3 into the SOOM and £3 sweep which will go to the winners of each competition.
Criteria for winning the SOOM will be entry into a minimum of three front nine events and three back nine events.
May's Events:
- Friday, 6 May - Front Nine
- Friday, 13 May - Back Nine
- Sunday, 15 May - Front Nine
- Friday, 20 May - Front Nine
- Friday, 27 May - Back Nine
- Saturday, 28 May - Back Nine
St. George's Day Competition
Congratulations to all who played in the St. George's day competition today. The full results were:
First place - Jason Cox, Mark Lewis, John Clements and Gary Mangham, second place - Barry Walker, John Eden, Paul Vater and Steve Frost and in third place - Andy Church, Steve Lawrence, Kenny Hayes and Tony Wattling.
Nearest the pins - Ian Bowyer, Sue Lynch and Ian Cockram. All prizes will be in the pro shop so come and collect them when you are up the club. Congratulations to all who participated, we managed to raise £320 for the Captains Charity which is fantastic and sets up what we hope to be a fantastic summer!
