Hole-in-Ones are US!
Jim Nicholson scored a fantastic gross 68 (nett 64 and lowest gross score of the year so far) at the weekend which saw him win Division One in the Monthly Medal by three shots. Jim finished his round off in style with an approach to two inches down the 18th hole in front of a packed balcony, if it had of gone in it would have been the fourth hole-in-one of the week! We have had three hole-in-ones in the last week, Geoff Cooper off the back of a Board Comp win on Thursday in the Mid-week Centenary with Phil Swan, aced the second hole, he had his son Simon with him to witness this proud moment. Peter Charie then managed the same on the 18th hole with a 5-wood whilst playing in the Tuesday Swindle and one of our Junior Academy players Bradley Whittle had a hole-in-one on the fourth on the Par Three course! Congratulations everyone and we all look forward to our drinks!
Some more players with great news this week is our Ladies Mail on Sunday Team who have just completed their fifth round victory over Sandy Lodge away! They've now got to face Chelmsford away. Well done ladies and good luck for the next round.
