Coming of age...

This Wednesday I have finally come of age having reached the mile stone of 40! I celebrated the occasion with a Star Wars vs. Superheroes fancy dress party, where I was surrounded by many Batmen and Batwomen and lots of characters from Star Wars. Thank you to everyone for the kind messages and thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate.


   

 

Junior success in Herts County Foursomes

Four of our juniors played in the Hertfordshire Golf Union Peggy De Podesta Trophy Junior Interclub Foursomes at Royston Golf Club last Friday, where one of the pairings had great success. The partnership of Sophie Brooke and Freddie Bennett came in with a terrific score of 69 points for 36 holes, winning the Under 16's title. Jack Head and Harry Bennett were competing in the Under 18's competition where they struggled to replicate Sophie and Freddie's success, but overall the team finished second for the day. What a fantastic achievement!

Bill Harris' Funeral Arrangements

Next Wednesday, 24 August is Bill Harris' funeral, which is being held at Harlow Crematorium, Pardon Wood Road, Harlow, CM19 4FS and starts at 11.30am. The wake will then be held afterwards at East Herts Golf Club. The pro shop will be closed from 11am - 12pm as myself, Gregg and Ashley are attending. We apologise for any inconvenience.
