Daniel's on the bag...

Daniel travelled down to the Grove on Wednesday for the Pro-Am event of the British Masters, where he was Caddying for former Olympian and swimmer Mark Foster. After setting out with good intentions on the first hole, Dan got a little despondent when Sky Sports wanted to interview Mark on the second tee and not him so quickly turned to beer. Although I'm sure his caddying skills probably improved after a pint or two!

The British Masters is being held at The Grove in Watford, where some of the biggest European Tour Stars will be teeing it up in the first event held there since the WGC event in which Tiger Woods won 10 years ago. Tiger won the event with a record breaking 23-under-par, finishing eight shots clear of second place and where he also eagled the par five 18th, three out of the four days! I am gutted that Tiger has withdrawn from this week's Safeway Open in American as I feel that golf still needs him to help draw more people into the sport. Do you think he can ever win again? Can he get to Nicklaus' Major tally? Tiger Woods was my hero growing up so I really hope that when he comes back he does it in style!

   

Foster makes his Professional debut...

This week Chris Foster made his Professional debut at the Herts PGA Alliance Pro-Am here at East Herts on Tuesday. Chris, who is working as an Assistant at Harpenden Common Golf Club, achieved his goal of turning Professional at the beginning of the month and is now enrolled on the PGA's Foundation Degree course which will see him study all areas of golf from teaching, equipment technology, sport science, business studies and the rules of golf. Well done Chris on joining the Professional ranks and we wish you every success for the future.
