Academy Ryder Cup

On Monday we held the first ever Junior Academy Ryder Cup event, where 24 young golfers battled it out for the trophy. With team Europe being Captained by Gregg, who runs the EHGC Academy, and USA being Captained by Ash Smith it got very competitive on and off the golf course. There was some fantastic golf played by all of the young stars and the match finished up as a fair tie 3 - 3, although it was very tight with it going down to the last game where Europe managed to win 2&1 for the tie.

EHGC Juniors finish the season with a big win!

East Herts junior team are Lexus Hertfordshire Hexagon league champions. Last Monday East Herts junior team took on Hertbourn Golf Club junior team. The East Herts boys beat Hartsbourn 8-4. Well done team East Herts.

 

Turning Professional

Last week Ashley turned Professional. He travelled down to Devon for the EGTF Golf Coaching course, where he studied all aspects of coaching and is now a qualified instructor. Ashley will be able to teach and play in professional tournaments which he plans on doing throughout the winter in the Thomson Tour. Congratulations Ash!
