Bill Harris Memorial Pro-Am in aid of Willow and Isabel
Firstly I would like to thank all those who played in the Pro-Am last year and have supported the Pro-Am in years gone by. With your help we can make our Charity Pro-Am the best and most talked about in the region. Please read on to see the exciting new on-course features. We want to make this an in-house event which is why we are offering a discount to EHGC members. Please show your support in returning the entry forms along with a deposit/full payment as soon as possible. We only have 20 teams to sell, so please act fast to avoid disappointment.
Pro-Am Programme:
Upon arrival - Bacon rolls and tea and coffee will be served.
There will be a two tee start for both the morning and afternoon rounds, starting at 8:30am and 12:30pm respectively.
Numerous refreshments will be provided during your round.
Why not have an ice cream at the 5th or a snack and a drink at the halfway hut or fish stall?
There's also another opportunity for a drink at the 15th hole and to finish a glass of Pimms will be served in Weston Homes marquee adjacent to the 18th green.
After your round, a lavish buffet will be served in the dining room.
Live evening music and the opportunity to invite the family along.
The prize giving will take place as soon as all competitors have completed their round.

Special winners prize of entry into European Seniors' Pro-Am.
With the support of East Herts Golf Club members, guests and sponsors we will be teaming up with the Willow and Isabel Hospice Charities to stage a new event, The Bill Harris Memorial Pro-m. Taking pace at East Herts golf club on Friday, 30 June the event hopes to raise funds and awareness for the Willow, which provides special days for seriously ill young adults and the Isabel Hospice which is a local charity caring for adults with a life-limiting illness. Both charities have extremely strong ties with East Herts Golf Club and Bill Harris and we are extremely proud to help them with funds and raising awareness. The tournament will be played in the traditional Pro-Am format with the best two scores to count on each hole in medal play. Sponsorship and corporate packages will enable us to run the day outlined below and all excess funds will be split between the two charities. Outlined below are the details for this year's event:
Teams of four, each comprising one professional and three amateurs, will compete. Teams may enter with their own professional or one will be allocated.
Mixed teams are very welcome.
Amateurs are required to have a current CONGU handicap and be a member of a recognised club. All competitors must be able to produce a handicap certificate on the day.
The handicap limits for the amateurs will be 20 for men and 30 for ladies, with 90% allowance. One equalising shot will be added to the ladies handicaps before the application of the allowance.
The best two nett scores on each hole will count for each team.
The cost for each team is £270 for a members team and there is an additional cost of £20 per player who is not a member of East Herts.
To book an afternoon tee time please contact me immediately to avoid disappointment, Afternoon tee times come at a cost of spot prize sponsorship of £50 or a donation to the charities.
Sponsorship packages are available on request and packages start from £1,000 per team, benefits include: selected tee time, advertising opportunities, corporate golf day benefits, tax donation relief, and corporate goody bags.
We have had a very positive response to this event so far and already have a few sponsors confirmed, we are hoping to sell the full field to East Herts members and their guests, but will open out to PGA Professionals if we do not, so please complete the enclosed entry form and return as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing you for a day of fun and golf to help us raise some much needed funds and awareness for both our chosen charities. Finally, we would like to ask your opinion of whether we reintroduce the Pro-Am auction dinner. At the dinner teams are sold and the money collected on the night is paid out to the owners of the winning teams. Some of you may remember this used to be a very popular night and we will run the dinner again if the response on the entry form is positive. Please tick if in favour.

- Saturday, 4 March - 8:30am - 11:30am (wedges).
- Saturday, 11 March - 8:30am - 11:30am (woods and irons).
