Chris making his European Tour debut!

This week Chris Edwards, our year two PGA Trainee, is making his debut on the European Tour... caddying for Jamie Rutherford. Chris has given us this little story before they tee off for the first round:

"So after 140mm of rain, yes 140mm of rain, final prep has finished for my first event on the European Tour. From sharing a taxi with Anthony Wall and Alvaro Quiros to generally having wet shoes all week, this week is going to be epic. With an 8.40am tee of time for our first round, I am hoping that all the prep will go to plan and I am expecting this to be the best week of my caddying career! Time to go out and rock some East Herts shirts and represent well. Its birdie time!"

A good start to the year for Daniel and his teams

Over the past few weeks I have played in two Pro-Am events at Brocket Hall and The Shire. At Brocket Hall my team of Jamie Nelson, Liam Parfitt and Shaun Parfitt got off to a good start and as a team lost out by a point coming in in second place and I came third in the pro event. The boys played very well, but unfortunately I missed a very short putt which the boys are claiming lost us first place.

This week, I played in a Herts Alliance Pro-Am at the Shire with Jamie and Matt Nelson where we came second as a team and I came tied for first. Struggling after nine holes, we took a little time out with a beer or two, or three and managed to find our rhythm on the back nine which helped us to a successful day.

Junior Academy and Roll-up Classes start back this Saturday

Our Junior Roll-up Class and EHGC Academy are starting up for 2017 this Saturday, 25 February. The Roll-up is our class for introducing juniors to golf and gives them a taste of what golf is about, all whilst having lots of fun. These sessions run from 2:00pm - 3:00pm every Saturday and are only £5:00 per session. Let us know here if you'd like to book a junior in.

The Academy is the next stage on from the Roll-up and gives our youngsters a more in depth feel for golf while learning more about the different aspects of the game. The Academy runs for five terms of six weeks throughout the year and includes main course and par three course competitions.
