Wishing the Captain a Speedy recovery...
As most of you are aware, the Captain Bob Cornish was taken ill last week and wasn't able to make his Captain's Day on Saturday. You will all be happy to hear that he is doing well although won't be able to play golf for a few weeks. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him up here.
East Herts Pros playing some great golf!
Last Friday Daniel played in the Essendon Pro-Am where he stormed to the top of the leaderboard with a magnificent round of 65, seven-under-par. With plenty of birdies and eagles flying around his team, Matt Nelson, Jay Nelson and Matt Smith said that he could have shot even lower, but that it all helped them as the team came second overall. A great score Dan, good to see that there is still some good golf in there.

Ash in the under Par Club in Jamega Event
On Monday and Tuesday of this week another of our Professionals played an event at Essendon. Ashley played in the Jamega Golf Tour event on the Old Course where he had a soild top 20 performance. With a first round of 76 (+4) he knew had some work to do on the second round where he turned things around with a great score of 67, five-under-par. With Harry Bennett on the bag in the second round, I'm surprised he didn't go lower! Well done boys.

Ladies Scratch A Team chalk up another victory!
The team of Mawgan Vater, Lois Dewhurst, Elaine Jewitt, Jackie Reeve and Sally Close managed a resounding win against Hadley Wood on Sunday, with a convincing 4-1 score. Well done to Mawgan who turned out despite being in the middle of her A Level exams.
