Have you played our par 3 course recently? If you haven’t it’s a wonderful facility for playing and working on your short game!
A course etiquette reminder
One of the most annoying things is when people don’t repair their pitch marks. Our greenkeepers work hard at trying to keep both the main course and the par 3 course in good condition, but recently we have had people playing full shots off of the greens and taking large divots.
We use the par 3 course for coaching and we want it to look and play great for our members too, so please respect the work the greenskeepers do and do not play shots off of the greens! You wouldn’t do it anywhere else so don’t do it here.
More bang for your buck
Golf clothing has come a long way from the old-style knickerbockers worn in the early 1900s - you can hardly imagine popping to the supermarket in a pair of those today. Fortunately, these days, golf brands make clothing that is high performing on the course but looks good enough to set the trend off it too.
Glenmuir SS19 apparel
Take this polo from Glenmuir. It's a prime example of on-course off-course versatility thanks to a detailed collar styling and matched shoulder block colour, which produces a sporty look that is perfect for any occasion.
This polo is a worthy addition to any golfing wardrobe, so come in and take a closer look at Glenmuir's range next time you're down the club.
Yes, it’s time for another battle as we pit Motocaddy’s S1 and M1 electric trolleys against one another to see which one has your requirements covered for both on-course performance and off-course practicality. So, dust off the gloves, sound the bell and let the battle commence...
Motocaddy S1 electric trolley
In the red corner we have the simply stunning S1 electric trolley, which has been updated for 2019.
Everything is at your finger tips thanks to a brand-new high-resolution LCD screen and easy-to-use Quickfold mechanism for easy storage, all of which is wrapped up in this highly attractive design.
Perfect for: Golfers looking for an entry level electric trolley that packs a punch in the features department.
Motocaddy M1 electric trolley
In the blue corner we have the M1 electric trolley, which is yet another brilliant option.
The car-boot friendly profile means this is the perfect trolley for those of you looking to save space, whilst a powerful 230w motor makes this the ideal high-performing electric trolley.
Perfect for: Golfers looking to save space with an easy-to-use, powerful electric trolley that has you well covered on any terrain.
The final Major of the year is upon us as the world's best descend upon Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland for the first time in 68 years. Here's what Rory McIlroy had to say on this momentous occasion and the course itself. Enjoy the best week in golf.
