Turkey Trip Update

Details below, we have 28 people coming so far and have room for 32. If you would like to come along then please get in touch ASAP. Details below

The dates for Travel are Sunday 1st November 2020 and come home on Friday 6th November and the itinerary is below.

If you have been emailed then you are the list of 28 people who currently have said yes to the trip and we will require a £100 deposit by the end of October to secure the flights and accommodation at the price of £1145.

Single room for the week is £1265 and other details are at the bottom of the itinerary.

The ideal number to travel is 32 so if you have any friends or know of anyone else from or outside the club who would wish to come then please do share this info

The round white thing...

Since the game began in the 15th century, there is one thing that has never changed – the ball being the only piece of equipment used on every shot. Despite this, it still gets a raw deal with some golfers viewing it as less important than the clubs used to hit it. So, we decided to take a look back and see how modern golf balls compare to those of yesteryear.

In the beginning

Feathery balls reigned supreme for over 200 years in the early days of golf, but even they are relatively new compared to the original hairy balls (guess what they were stuffed with!).

It's hard to imagine what it would be like playing with those balls these days, and even the later-developed Gutty and Haskell balls left golfers with little-to-no room for error.

Where we are today

The ability to make a ball 100 years ago that has five separate layers, each offering the golfer something different was impossible, but that's exactly what TaylorMade has done with its TP5 ball.
