Greens update You will all notice that work has started on the 9th, 15th and 18th Greens. Initial Results from the test we had back show that the damage was done by a weed killer based product and due to the delay in testing we will never truly find out how it got there. The Good news is that the ninth is growing back really well and the 18th and parts of 9 & 15 will be laid next week. Since starting at East Herts in 2002 I’ve never seen anything like what’s happened recently and the heart-breaking bit is that the course was in the best condition I had ever seen it in. After speaking with Neil, I’m fully confident and fully supportive of him and his team and can’t wait to see the course back to its best next season. We are so lucky to have 2 X 15th Holes and after playing 18 holes Tuesday I thought the rest of the course and especially the greens were in excellent condition. Ash made 6 birdies in nine holes so they must be good! Thank you for all your patience and on behalf of the greenkeepers for all the supportive comments. |
