James Watts makes it to the Second Stage of European Tour Q School

James Watts our Challenge Tour player has made it through the first round of European Tour Q School finishing in a tie for 18th Place. After a disappointing first day score of (+5, 77), James followed with a (+1, 73) to be outside of the qualifying spots with two rounds to go. Knowing he needed to go low for the last two day James rallied together to shoot two great scores of 68! Stage two of Q School is being played from Friday, 6 November to Monday, 9 November in Spain and we wish James the best of luck!

Daniel makes it into the Herts PGA Matchplay Final!

I seem to be finishing the 2015 season off in style with another win to make it into this year's Herts PGA Matchplay Final. In the Quarter Final I played against none other than East Herts assistant Chris Edwards and the match was nip and tuck all the way with the match being decided on the first extra hole! I managed to drain a 45 footer on the last to win the match! I then went on to play South Herts Professional Bobby Mitchell and round the away venue I managed to win the match convincingly 3 and 2. I am now just waiting to find out my opponent for the final!

Sealey seals his first hole in one

Congratulations to Steve Sealey on his first hole in one around Royal Mid Surrey at the Willow Open. It was a sweetly struck G30 6i-ron that never left the flag. Well done Sticky!

Pro Shop Winter Order of Merit

Starting on Saturday, 28 November we will be running a pro shop winter order of merit. We will hold an OOM stableford every weekend day when there is no club competition being played, from the Saturday, 28 November till Sunday, 27 March. Each OOM stableford will have the normal £3 entry fee and twos. All entry fees will be put into the prizes for the OOM winners and there will be an individual winner per stableford that will win a sleeve of Titleist ProV1 golf balls. The winner of the OOM will be the player who has the highest points tally over four rounds. Individuals can play in as many OOM stablefords as they can with their best four scores counting. All OOM stablefords can be played in four balls too!

In Harrogate, the game's top brands showcase a number of new products yet to hit our store; it's an exciting time of the year for those in the industry, if not a little busy!

From drivers and irons, to balls and putters, technology is moving on - and we take great pleasure in helping to translate all of this information so we can present new line-ups to you as and when they arrive.
