Hello golfers,

I just love it when during the course of the last 2/3 years guys come in the shop and say what's happened to Rory? I always reply with, what do you mean? He is as good a golfer as I've ever seen, he hits it further than anyone, he chips and putts great and hits his irons pure. He is honest, sometimes too honest, has a great family around him, still goes out with his mates, walks his dog and has a underwear model for a girlfriend. I remember Ian Poulter saying a few years ago when Rory arrived on the scene. "If he realises how good he is, we are all in big trouble!". Golfers will miss cuts, they will break ankles and legs, they will have bad weeks. However the ones who realise this will have no effect on their enjoyment of life and learn to just get on with it and keep smiling will eventually keep winning. At the moment we are blessed to have a new era in world class players. I hope Rory, Jordon and Jason can become the new Nicklaus, Palmer and Player, the game needs role models and these three are by far the finest with seen for a few decades, not just because of their golfing achievements, but who and what they are as good human beings. It's a bit deep this one, but I'm feeling quite happy at the moment because I've just found out my great friend and East Herts' Member Steve Sealey has just got engaged.
